the honey bee

Did you know that honey bees have existed on earth for millions of years and are apparently the only insect that produces food eaten by man, the only food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, including enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and water. Did you know that honey contains "pinocembrin", an antioxidant associated with improved brain functioning.
Did you know that honey bees communicate with each other by dancing and that a worker bee will produce about 1\12 of a teaspoon of honey in her life time. The females are the workers, the males mate and then die, only the females can sting.
Honey bees are vital to our existence due to their job of pollination. Albert Einstein estimated that "If the bee disappears  from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live?"
When we had a hive of bees install themselves into a crevice on the outside of our wall we phoned up our bee keeper friend, apparently retrieving a hive from inside a wall is nearly impossible. We had to either take our house apart or kill the bees.

Or

let them stay and live in peaceful harmony? The first day they moved in there was some slight excitement and much buzzing about but after a few days everyone seamed to settle in nicely. It's been about a month now and I must say I hardly notice our discrete  neighbors the bees!
