The first time i came to the minervois i fell flat on my face in love with the area (yes the love for the land came before the love for the man). I was ever so charmed by the light, the sunshine, the food, the culture, the life style and of course the people. I love visiting the hustle and bustle of a big city and some times miss the opportunities of living in a big city but living in the country offers a depth to my life I couldn't live with out. Last week end at the Especiria in Oupia was a perfect example of that. Sophi has built a space for locals and expats, the young and the old, from all walks of life to mix with the villagers, to come together, listen to some music, eat a plate of tapas and drink a glass of wine. To simply be together on a Sunday afternoon in the sunshine sharing our stories.
Thanks for the wonderful atmosphere and for creating such a beautiful space for us all.
ps we will be at the Especiara's Sundays on the terrace with our wine for you to taste July 15, come by for a moment in the sun.
